Deploy on Azure

Use Azure Container Apps and managed Azure services to host the OneTALA container architecture.

Developer v2026.10 Updated 4 Nov 2026
  • Azure Container Registry (ACR) for container images.
  • Azure Container Apps for the application and worker services, or AKS when Kubernetes is justified.
  • Azure Database for PostgreSQL Flexible Server with PostGIS enabled.
  • Azure Managed Redis for cache, session, and queue workloads.
  • Blob Storage for persistent object storage.
  • Key Vault for secrets and keys.
  • Application Insights / Log Analytics for application and platform monitoring.
  • Front Door or an application gateway when global routing/WAF requirements justify it.

CI/CD pattern

The repository contains a disabled Azure UAT workflow that builds the application image, pushes it to ACR, deploys to Container Apps, and runs php artisan migrate --force. Treat it as a starting point and modernise it for the target subscription and current PHP/container baseline.

Important

Do not run PostgreSQL or Redis as casually exposed public containers when managed private services are available for production. Keep secrets out of workflow files and use federated identity or tightly-scoped service principals.
